Following last year’s successful #TogetherAgainstRacism Social Media Action 2018, where we received nearly 100 pictures, INAR invites its Network Members, Friends, Supporters and Members of the Public to join the 2nd edition, one-day #TogetherAgainstRacism Social Media Action 2019 marking the International Day Against Racism. Show your opposition to racism, xenophobia, far-right ideologies and stand in solidarity with those affected by them. Let’s get together and show that racism has no place in Ireland!
Let’s get this #TogetherAgainstRacism hashtag trending in Ireland, make it bigger than the last year and flood social media with this positive message of inclusion, equality and togetherness.
Here is what we ask you to do:
- Write #Together Against Racism on a piece of paper (or your hand or anything else). Feel free to be creative.
- Take a photo of yourself, alone or with your friends, family, class, school or work colleagues, holding those words (or add this hashtag on your picture).
- Post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram anytime on Thursday, 21st of March to show that you stand with us against racism and xenophobia. If you wish you can add a short comment on why you decided to support this action;
- Remember to use #TogetherAgainstRacism with your post so we can find your image and retweet/share it.
We will be retweeting and reposting all photos with the hashtag and they will all be included in a dedicated Facebook album. At the end of the action, we will make a photo collage of all the received images, just like the one below.
Join in! Spread the word!
Time & location: Nationwide, all day on 21st of March
