INAR is very proud to be part of the Intercultural Cross-border Inclusion Programme (ICIP), launched in January 2026. The ICIP is a cross-border project which involves INAR in leadership development among racially minoritised people in some locations on either side of the border; supporting them to build strong collaborations and partnerships with service providers and decision makers in their local communities and regionally.

About the I.C.I.P programme:

The Intercultural Cross-border Inclusion Programme (ICIP) has been developed by an alliance of organisations with the following aims:

1.To build positive relations by addressing institutional and structural racism, empowering minority ethnic communities, and encouraging active participation.

2.To focus on racially minoritised groups, including Black people /People of African Descent, Black Irish, Black British, Asians, Migrants, Muslims, Roma, and Travellers.

3. To be rooted in a human rights-based approach, the project promotes respectful, diverse communities where everyone can live, work, and learn free from prejudice.

4. Leadership and decision-making will be led by minority ethnic communities across Northern Ireland and the southern Border Counties, following the principle of subsidiarity (where decisions should be made at the most local level possible)

The five programme partners are North West Migrants Forum (Lead Partner, based in Derry); Donegal Intercultural Platform; Rural Community Network; Irish Network Against Racism; and Multi-Ethnic Sports & Cultures Association (NI).
